Blink 182
Blink-182 is a pop band formed in 1992 by Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor (who would later replaced by Travis Barker) in Poway, San Diego, California.
Shortly after releasing his debut album, Cheshire Cat, then called ‘blink’ had to add ‘-182’ number to its name as an Irish techno band was already called “blink” and threatened to take legal action .
The reasons for his dismissal never been clarified formally for the first two, although Raynor said in interviews that it was because of his alcoholism.
Then The Aquabats, drummer Travis Barker replaced Raynor and with him the band managed to access mainstream and global success with his best-selling Enema of the State, released in 1999 by MCA Records. At the end of 2003, after several trials with parallel bands and rumors about his separation, released his last album, entitled blink-182 car. Barely two years after the band made official separation and, in turn, two groups emerged this breakup: Angels and Airwaves, led by DeLonge and + 44, Hoppus and Barker.
